Ally J. Shivka is a graphic designer bringing over 12 years of experience in advertising and marketing. After graduating from the Rochester Institute of Technology with a BFA in Graphic Design and a minor in Creative Writing, Ally started her career in the Capital Region working in the automotive industry with Potratz Partners Advertising. There she was promoted to Senior Graphic Designer and later Art Director, leading the creative for dealerships across the United States and Canada. She was also heavily involved with copywriting and voiceover work.
After Potratz, Ally became Art Director and Senior Graphic Design at Elevation Ten Thousand. There she oversaw clients from a diverse array of industries including beauty, health, automotive, academia, restaurants, and pest control. She developed comprehensive brand identities and brought both marketing campaigns and digital storefronts to life.
In 2022, Ally made the move to Vibrant Brands where she could bring her wealth of experience to develop creative for Vibrant’s clients; from credit unions to health services and beyond. Her years spent creating brands, websites, and advertisements help make her current clients shine.
During her career, Ally has also worked as a freelance graphic designer where she creates tailored work and educates partners on best practices for making their businesses and non-profit shine. This work earned her a Theater Association of New York State award for Meritorious Achievement in Graphic Design. Other awards include a Bronze and a Silver ADDY award from the Capital Region Advertising Federation. She has served as Social Media Director and Board Secretary for AIGA Upstate NY, and currently is on the Board of Albany Voices of Pride as their Artistic Planning Chair.
